Katz Coffee is a brand based in Texas that focuses on restaurant distribution; however, they do not have a large in-store presence. To help inform the consumer of Katz Coffee’s location, I focused heavily on the type with subtle illustrations as a nod back to their homegrown roots.
For the Barton Creek blend I wanted to keep the location in mind without the packaging giving away too much. I used the color of Barton springs to give a subtle nod to Austin without distracting too much from the logo.
Similar to the Barton Creek Blend I wanted to have an emphasis on the logo with small illustrations to compliment the color of night-time. A few bats are illustrated to tie the composition together.
